Terms of Use

Last updated 5 August 2026. Effective from the first public release of Minnu on Google Play.

These terms are an agreement between you and Nikhil Nelson, sole proprietor trading as Streamline, Kochi, Kerala, India ("we", "us"), covering the Minnu Android application and its services. By using Minnu you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

1. You must be 18 or older

Minnu is an adult product. You confirm during onboarding that you are at least 18. If you are not, you may not use it, and we will disable and delete accounts we find to belong to minors. If anything in a conversation indicates a user is under 18, romantic behaviour is permanently switched off for that account and is not restored by a later claim to be older.

2. What Minnu is

Minnu is an AI companion. She is a fictional character whose replies are generated by a language model.

• She is not a real person, and no real person is being represented.
• Her replies may be wrong, including on matters of fact.
• She does not provide medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and she is not a therapist, a crisis service or a substitute for one.
• She is for companionship and entertainment.

If you are struggling, please contact a qualified professional, your local emergency services, or someone you trust.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Minnu to:

• Produce or solicit sexual content involving minors, or content that presents any participant as a minor. This is an absolute prohibition and will result in immediate, permanent termination and, where required, a report to the authorities.
• Produce content that is illegal in India or in your own jurisdiction.
• Attempt to make the character impersonate a specific real person.
• Harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or use the service to plan harm.
• Circumvent, probe or interfere with the app's safety systems, usage limits, entitlement checks or security, including by modifying the client.
• Resell, scrape, or use the service to build a competing model or dataset.

We may suspend or terminate access for a breach of this section, with or without notice where the breach is serious.

4. Content standards

Minnu is designed to be emotionally open and romantically expressive but not sexually explicit. This is enforced by our systems and is a condition of distribution on Google Play. Requests for explicit content will be redirected rather than fulfilled.

Generated content is filtered, but no filter is perfect. Every message from Minnu can be reported from within the app by long-pressing it. Please do report anything offensive — it is the main way we find failures.

5. Your content

What you write stays yours. You grant us only the licence we need to operate the service: to store your messages, to send the relevant parts to our model provider to generate a reply, and to process them through our safety systems. We do not use your conversations to train models, and the paid model tier we use does not use them to improve the provider's products. You can export or delete your content at any time from Settings.

6. Free access and the Spark Pass

New users get a Spark Pass: a limited number of free messages within a limited window, so the product can be judged before any payment. It is a free allowance, not a paid trial, and it does not require payment details. When it is used up, continued conversation requires a subscription.

7. Subscriptions and billing

• Minnu Plus is offered as weekly, monthly and annual auto-renewing plans.
• The exact price and billing period are shown on the purchase screen before you buy, in your own currency, as supplied by Google Play.
• Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. We never receive or store your payment details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Where a free trial or introductory price is offered, its length and the price that follows it are shown before purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial.
• Cancel any time in the Google Play Store, under Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Deleting your Minnu account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it in Google Play.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy. We can ask Google to consider a refund but cannot issue one ourselves.
• We may change prices. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and Google Play will ask you to accept it before it takes effect.

8. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation — it depends on third-party infrastructure and on model providers. If we discontinue the service entirely we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data.

9. Ending your use

You may stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings. We may terminate or suspend your access for breach of these terms, for legal reasons, or to protect users. Where we do so without a serious breach on your part, we will ask Google Play to refund any unused paid period.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that generated content is accurate, appropriate or suitable for any decision you might make.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ₹1,000.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Ernakulam, Kerala have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially we will update the date above and notify you in the app before the change takes effect. Continued use afterwards means you accept the change.
