Terms of Use
Last updated: August 5, 2026
By downloading or using Not Today, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Who these terms are with
These terms are an agreement between you and Nikhil Nelson, a sole proprietor in Kerala, India, trading as Streamline (GSTIN 32CDAPN1142D1ZC), the publisher of Not Today. “We,” “us,” and “our” mean that proprietor. Full publisher details are on the Contact & Grievance Redressal page.
Eligibility and license
You must be at least 18 years old. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for lawful personal purposes under these terms and the Google Play terms.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse, disrupt, reverse engineer where prohibited, redistribute, sell, or use the app to violate law or another person's rights. Do not attempt to defeat advertising, billing, security, or access controls.
Health and safety
Not Today provides general educational self-help and does not replace qualified medical care. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or guarantee that you will quit smoking. See the Medical Disclaimer. In an emergency, contact your local emergency service.
Intellectual property
The app, its original design, content, branding, and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
Advertising
The free version may show ads on Progress and in the Toolkit article list. Ads are supplied by Google and may be subject to consent and privacy choices. Ads do not belong in craving rescue, breathing, slip recovery, PDF export, or professional-support content.
Google Play Billing
“Remove ads forever” is a non-consumable purchase processed by Google Play. Displayed pricing, payment, cancellation, refund, and account handling are governed by Google Play. Use Restore purchases in Settings when needed. Entitlement availability may depend on Google Play confirming the purchase. In some countries, including the EEA and the UK, a Google entity is the seller of record and your purchase contract is with Google rather than with us. Our own refund practice and how to request one are set out on the Refunds & Cancellations page.
Google Play and third parties
Not Today is distributed through Google Play, and your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or its content, but Google and its affiliates are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Google is responsible only for the store and payment services it provides.
Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features. Offline functionality may be affected by device limits, operating-system changes, permissions, or corrupted or erased local storage. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Term and termination
These terms apply for as long as you use the app. You may end them at any time by uninstalling Not Today. We may suspend or end your license if you materially breach these terms, in which case you should stop using and uninstall the app. Ending the license does not by itself delete data on your device — use the Data Deletion steps for that. A “Remove ads forever” entitlement already granted by Google Play is unaffected, except where Google revokes or refunds it.
Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the app, loss of local data, reliance on educational content, or third-party services. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Grievance redressal
Complaints about the app, these terms, or your personal data go to our Grievance Officer, whose name, address, and response timelines are on the Contact & Grievance Redressal page. We acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve within 30 days.
Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of Not Today, are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to the next paragraph, the courts at Ernakulam, Kerala, India have exclusive jurisdiction.
If you use the app as a consumer, this does not remove the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, and it does not prevent you from bringing proceedings before a court or consumer commission where that law entitles you to do so. Users in India may approach the appropriate consumer commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Please contact our Grievance Officer before starting formal proceedings — most issues are settled that way.
General
If any provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in effect and the affected provision applies to the maximum extent permitted. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor of the business. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refunds & Cancellations page, and Medical Disclaimer, form the entire agreement between you and us about the app. Nothing here creates a partnership, agency, or employment relationship. We are not liable for a failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app or requirements change. The updated date will appear here. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
